Let’s talk about something fun and fabulous – the best Australian homewares stores of 2024! You might be wondering, why am I not sticking to my local Sydney stores? Well, in this day and age, boundaries don’t matter. I can shop from anywhere in Australia, thanks to the magic of the internet. So, let me take you on a playful journey through my favourite homewares hotspots that I absolutely adore and rely on for all of my projects.
And just so you know, there’s no particular order here; these stores are all superstars in my eyes.
Girl Meraki is the secret treasure chest of every interior designer’s dreams. What makes this store extraordinary is the dynamic Mother and Daughter duo, Maria and Paige. These ladies have over 40 years of combined experience in design, creative arts, and floristry. And if you’re not following them on Instagram yet, you’re seriously missing out on creative reels that showcase their stunning new products. Girl Meraki isn’t just a store; it’s a wonderland of handpicked Australian designs, locally crafted gems, and timeless global pieces. They don’t just sell products; they sell experiences. Their unique selection, blending vintage and contemporary, ensures you find something that’ll make your home sing for years to come. It’s where passion and creativity meet to help you create your own masterpiece.
On the Gold Coast, you’ll find Kira & Kira, a haven of innovation and creativity. From their retail showroom to interior design and styling services, they infuse residential and commercial spaces with pizzazz. Grason and Simone Kira, the creative power couple behind it all, masterfully blend modern minimalism with eclectic charm. Their commitment to thoughtful, sustainable design and quality craftsmanship shines through. Their showroom is full of premium, exclusive, and limited edition gems, and trust me, you won’t leave empty-handed if you visit. Once you step inside, you’ll want to transform your entire space. Whether you’re looking for a statement piece or a complete home makeover, Kira & Kira has got your back. A must visit when you visit the sunny Gold Coast.
Nat Wheeler and Kristy Sadlier, the dynamic duo behind Norsu Interiors, turned their love for Scandinavian design into something truly special. Their pastel palette alone is enough to make you fall in love. The range at Norsu simply makes me happy, and my clients can’t help but smile either. They’re all about providing affordable, exclusive art and homewares that make spaces feel warm and cozy. Their bricks-and-mortar store in East Malvern brings style and warmth to every home. Norsu Interiors is more than just a store; it’s a journey of style and warmth that touches every corner of your space.
Few and Far offers a “slow shopping experience,” a place where you can immerse yourself, savor the moment, and take your time. I stumbled upon this gem during a getaway to Bowral, and I urge you to do the same. It’s a place that lets you escape, connect, and appreciate the artistry of creative minds from around the world. The creators, who are globetrotting designers themselves, wanted to share the essence of their travels with others. That dream became a reality in 2009 when they opened their store in Huskisson, Jervis Bay. The store entices shoppers with inviting aromas, nostalgic melodies, and decor that tells stories from distant lands. The restoration of their quaint shop was a labor of love, evident in their renovation slideshow.
Finally, let’s talk about Aura Home, a Melbourne-based homewares haven that I absolutely adore. This brand, born in the heart of Melbourne, offers a diverse range of products, from luxurious bed linens to elegant ceramics. What I love most about Aura Home is their dedication to quality and timeless design. As a loyal follower of Aura Home, I’m constantly drawn to their products for my soft furnishings. Their versatility, affordability, and uniqueness make them perfect for my projects.
So there you have it, my homewares secrets are spilled. These are my favourite homewares stores in Australia, and the main reason I’m so drawn to them is because of each and every one having their unique charm.
Remember, it doesn’t matter where you’re located either as all of the amazing gems mentioned offer their products online. Happy shopping and decorating!
