The Process
01
Consultation
We start with a 1.5-hour in-home consultation, exploring each space in detail. Your ideas and desires are heard, and initial thoughts are shared. We’ll brainstorm your style direction, ensuring a deep understanding of your needs while taking measurements.
02
Scope of works
After assessing your home and needs, I go away and create a detailed scope of works. This includes a vision of the desired look and feel we’re going for. Also included is your package quote to complete the project. Ensuring our goals are aligned.
03
Design
With your approval, your project is scheduled to commence. Excitement begins to build as I present mood boards to you. You’ll also get to play with fabric and finish samples which really helps you begin to see it come together.
04
Completion
This is the final step where you’ll see it all come together. Your furniture deliveries will commence and will help with the final styling touches. This is always my favourite part where we see all of our hard work pay off and you can start enjoying your new space.

Frequently asked questions
What happens after a design consultation?
Following your consultation you will receive a detailed scope of works from me. This is a presentation which outlines everything required for your project including any design work and furniture/decor selections. It will also include your total design fees as well as your client agreement contract. If you decide to continue working with me and begin your project, you will sign your contract and pay your deposit. Your project will then commence.
What’s the difference between design and decorating?
Understanding the distinction between design and decorating is essential to determine which of our services best suits your needs:
Interior Design: If you’re in the process of building or renovating and require expert guidance on fundamental aspects like colours, finishes, and design layouts, my Interior Design service is tailored for you. This comprehensive service encompasses vital decisions such as selecting hard finishes like flooring, cabinetry, and countertops. Additionally, for projects like kitchen or bathroom renovations, I offer 3D drawings to help you visualise the end result.
Interior Decorating: For those seeking to furnish and style their homes. Whether you’re moving to a new residence, preparing to sell your current home, or simply looking to refresh your living space, this service is ideal for projects of any size. I provide expert assistance to transform your space into a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing environment.
In summary, while Interior Design focuses on the foundational elements of a space, Interior Decorating concentrates on the furnishings and aesthetics. Both services aim to enhance your living experience, but the choice between them depends on your specific project requirements.
How to prepare for a design consultation?
Preparing for a design consultation is a crucial step to ensure that your project goes smoothly. Here are some key steps to take before your consultation:
Collect Your Thoughts and Inspiration: Before your consultation, take some time to gather your thoughts and inspiration. Create a Pinterest board or compile images and ideas you’ve come across while browsing Instagram or other platforms. This will provide valuable insight into your preferences and style, helping me better understand your vision.
Outline Your Project Timeline: It’s essential to have a clear idea of your project timeline. Think about when you would like the project to be completed. Knowing your desired timeline helps in setting realistic expectations and planning the project accordingly.
Establish Your Budget: Determine your budget for the project. Having a budget in mind is important as it allows me to tailor the design and material choices to align with your financial constraints. If you’re uncertain about your budget, don’t worry; we can discuss and refine this during the consultation.
By following these steps, you’ll be well-prepared for our consultation, and it will enable us to have a productive and focused discussion about your project’s goals and requirements. Whether you have a clear vision or need assistance in narrowing down your ideas, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
